Customers have been asking about what’s happening with iPod touch 1st gen, and our apps, and app-enhanced hardware.
Some quick clarifications:
So, right now, users who want to use either the 1st gen touch, or the 1st gen iPhone will not be able to use app-enhanced features on iHome app-enhanced products, namely the iA5 and iA100.
However, we are currently working to add in support for iOS 3.x which will address the iPod touch 1st gen as well as the original iPhone. We plan to have this available in our next major update, Sleep 2.1, planned for mid-November.
Please keep in mind that the iA5 and iA100 are Made for iPod products. So while users await our app updates, all iPod audio and charge functions will work in the meantime. The only limitations will be on the app-enhanced features.
Sorry if this poses any problems in the interim. We’ll post updates as we get closer to Sleep 2.1 availability.
Thanks.
