Thanks to everyone for a great 1.0 release experience. 1.1 on its way!
With our version 1.0 of iHome+Sleep, we’ve been very encouraged by our users’ responses. We wanted to thank everyone who has written in and provided encouragement, feedback, and guidance about what works well and what not so well. We’re definitely listening, even if we haven’t responded to each and every one of you – though we’ve tried!
With our upcoming release (already submitted for app store approval), you can expect a few updates targeting stability improvement, and some of the most commonly requested features. Some version 1.1 release highlights:
- Added support for waking and sleeping to Podcasts and Audiobooks
- Improved some bugs in stats and clarified their labels
- Added volume control to the iPod transport controller
- Added a “no wakeup sound” option for Sleep Cards
- Improved wallpaper quality (reset your wallpaper to take effect)
- Added an option to turn off weather widget (for int’l users or touch users without WiFi access)
- Other bug fixes and stability enhancements
A few notes for users about future releases:
- We are also hard at work implementing a weather feed for our international users.
- We hear your requests for more control over wake and sleep volumes. We are exploring how best to make this happen as all docking scenarios need to be considered.
- The first app-enhanced speaker dock model, the iA5, should be available in stores in late February, and it’s available for pre-order now (see previous post).
Thanks again.
