Some users have asked for an instruction manual for our app. This is for you. Other users ignored our app’s first-use pop-up tutorials. If you did and regret it, this too is for you.
What follows is a quick run through of iHome+Sleep, our new free app. The goal is to get users familiar with some of the layout, features, and unique terminology. If still not enough to get you going, please visit our Get Satisfaction page and see if other users or our employees can help you out in that forum. Then if you must still, please email us.
The Home Screen

The home screen has a few things going on, organized into a few glass “panes” floating above a “card slot”.
The card slot is the fourth major component of the home screen. On the front face of the card slot, are two icons, they give users access to two important sections of the app.
When you first download iHome+Sleep, there are no cards loaded. So you will see an empty card slot. You can go to the Sleep Card Manager and configure your first “Sleep Card.”
Sleep Card Manager

When you enter the sleep card manager, press the big plus sign to make a new card. A new blank card will appear with the card settings view to edit…

You can make two types of cards, a Alarm, or a Nap. They differ primarily in how the alert rings at a set time, or after a set amount of time.
Scroll down and set all kinds of things:
When you’ve configured how you want to go to bed and wake up, you can “save & set” the card, or simply flip it back around to the front face using the “gear” icon, Then drag it down into the slot below.
Once the card is in the slot, it is a “set” alarm. You can remove it by tapping it or by sliding it out.
If you have multiple cards configured, you will be able to browse them by swiping left and right in the Sleep Card manager. They look nice don’t they?

If you have multiple cards in the slot, you can view them by swiping the card slot left or right.
You can make more cards or return to the home screen by pressing “Close.”
App Backside

The app’s backside has two major sections.
First, the sleep stats… Right now this is a simple summary of your sleep patterns based on when you slide bedtime and wakeup.

Therefore, to start seeing your stats, at night, slide the bedtime slider, and in the morning, slide the wakeup slider (see next image).

Secondly, the Settings… this is where the app can become very personal. The following is a list of each Settings menu item and what it’s good for…
We hope this run-through is useful, but still firmly believe the best way to get to know the app is to use it!
You also may like to review the videos from around the web that show our app in action. We’ve collected some of them here.
Thanks.
We love hearing everyone’s feedback, and look forward to making iHome+Sleep as robust as possible.
